Yarn Art Jeans (55% cotton/45% polyacrylic) 160m/50g in the following colors: white, cream or light gray for the bunny, green, brown, orange, pink (if you don’t have a pink pompom for the nose). If you crochet with this type of yarn, this amigurumi will have a height of about 21 cm. Of course you can work with any type of yarn you want, only the size of the toy will be bigger or smaller. You must also adapt the hook number to the yarn used.

White lace, 1.5 cm wide and 60 cm long
Plastic eyes of 5 or 6 mm (or black beads)
White felt (1 mm thick)
Pink pompom of 1,5 cm diameter
Fake eyelashes
Satin ribbon in orange and green colors (width: 2,5 cm and length 10 cm from each)
White satin ribbon (width: 0,6 cm and length 30 cm )
Decorative flowers or decorative buttons in the shape of a flower

ROOTS
With brown color yarn
Hook 1,25
21ch, from the second ch from hook crochet 20slst and continue: 16ch and from second ch from hook crochet 15slst, then again 10ch and from the second ch from hook crochet 9slst. FO. Leave a tail for sewing the roots in a circle.

TAIL
50 cm of cream-colored threads (body color) are wrapped on a fork to make a pompom. Tie in the middle with another thread making a tight knot. Cut the threads on both sides and round them with scissors to be as round as possible.

NOSE
If you don’t have a pink pompom for the nose, you can crochet it like this:

Fold and sew the ear.

ASSEMBLY

  • Sew the lace under row 22 of the body, where you crocheted in FLO with green color yarn.
  • Sew the roots to the last row of the carrot and then wrap the remaining sewing thread so that the seams are not visible and fasten it with a knot. Hide the rest of the threads inside.
  • Embroider small seams on the carrot with the brown thread.
  • Sew the ears in the center of the head.
  • Sew the paws side by side, as in the photo.
  • Tie the tail at the back with the two threads left from the pompom, 4 rows above the lace.
  • From the paws count 4 rows and sew the nose.
  • Cut 1.5 cm diameter white felt discs and then glue the black beads or plastic eyes as you like.
  • Glue the fake eyelashes.
  • Glue the eyes over the nose in the most convenient position possible.
  • Embroider the muzzle with double black sewing thread. First a line under the nose and then side two seams on 2sc and a row height.
  • Embroider the eyebrows symmetrically, above the eyes, 2 rows high and 2sc long.
  • Also embroider the bangs as in the photo.
  • Color the cheeks with a red pencil.
  • Make a green satin bow:  fold a piece of few inches and sewing in the center. Then wrap the middle with a thin white satin ribbon and tie the two ends. Then tie the bow to the rabbit’s ears.
  • Add decorative buttons.
